چکیده
A new genus with two new species, Codoserphus calophlebius gen. et sp. nov. and Codoserphus euneurus gen. et sp. nov., assigned to the subfamily Mesoserphinae of Mesoserphidae, are described from the Jehol Biota, Early Cretaceous Yixian Formation of Huangbanjigou Village in Liaoning, China. Codoserphus gen. nov. is characterized by its fore wing with all major veins present, not reduced, and l cu-a distal to 1-M in fore wing. An updated key is given for the genera of Mesoserphidae from around the world.

A well-preserved aneuretopsychid from the Jehol Biota of China (Insecta, Mecoptera, Aneuretopsychidae)
The Aneuretopsychidae is an unspeciose and enigmatic family of long-proboscid insects that presently consist of one known genus and three species from the Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous of north-central Asia. In this paper, a new genus and species of fossil aneuretopsychid is described and illustrated, Jeholopsyche liaoningensisgen. et sp. n. Fossils representing this new taxon were collecte...
متن کاملTwo new species of Archaeohelorus (Hymenoptera, Proctotrupoidea, Heloridae) from the Middle Jurassic of China
Two new fossil species, Archaeohelorus polyneurus sp. n. and A. tensus sp. n., assigned to the genus Archaeohelorus Shih, Feng & Ren, 2011 of Heloridae (Hymenoptera), are reported from the late Middle Jurassic, Jiulongshan Formation of Inner Mongolia, China. Based on the well-preserved forewings and hind wings of these specimens, the diagnosis of the Archaeohelorus is emended: forewing 2cu-a in...
متن کاملA new species of the genus Disogmus Förster (Hymenoptera, Proctotrupoidea, Proctotrupidae) from the Eocene Rovno amber
Disogmus rasnitsyni Kolyada & Perkovsky, sp. n. is described from a fossil inclusion of Late Eocene amber (Ukraine). The new species is most similar to Disogmus basalis (Thomson, 1857), in particular, in the shape of the tyloids and the general shortening of the segments of antennae, but distinctly differs from it and the other species of the genus by having tyloids on flagellar segments 2-4 co...
متن کاملUnder Cover at Pre-Angiosperm Times: A Cloaked Phasmatodean Insect from the Early Cretaceous Jehol Biota
BACKGROUND Fossil species that can be conclusively identified as stem-relatives of stick- and leaf-insects (Phasmatodea) are extremely rare, especially for the Mesozoic era. This dearth in the paleontological record makes assessments on the origin and age of the group problematic and impedes investigations of evolutionary key aspects, such as wing development, sexual size dimorphism and plant m...
متن کاملThe Jehol Biota: Definition and distribution of exceptionally preserved relicts of a continental Early Cretaceous ecosystem
Fossils from the “Jehol Biota” have been studied for nearly 90 years, and the term “Jehol Biota” has been extensively used and is well known today, largely thanks to the discovery of feathered dinosaurs, angiosperms, and numerous other exceptionally preserved fossils in the Lower Cretaceous of northeastern China. Ironically, however, what exactly the Jehol Biota represents and how it is defined...
